In 14th-century Verona, hatred and blood had long separated the two great families of Montagues and Capulets, until Roman Montague met Juliet Capulet and their love blossomed overnight. The two young people forgot everything that had separated them for centuries and married secretly. However, Juliet was arranged by her father to marry a young prince, while Romeo was exiled by the prince of Verona for the murder of his nephew on one of the usual fights. While he was away, the girl hatched a plan with Friar Laurentio to avoid her arranged marriage until they alerted Romeo. But nothing went well and a great tragedy followed, which, however, managed to reconcile the two families in the end. William Shakespeare is considered one of the most important English writers in the world. The tragedy Romeo and Juliet, although written in 1595, is read and performed in the theater to this day.
