When Lindenbrook mineralogy professor discovered the parchment that fell through a seven -year book, he was confident that he was hidden. His nephew, Axel, helped him with his incomprehensible message and eventually managed to find who had left it behind. It was a map of Arne Saknzem, a famous 16th -century alchemist who would lead them to the center of the earth. They were prepared for their paradoxical journey and began. They passed seas and land, entered the bottomless wells and dark tunnels and encountered weird creatures, following the path of Saknzem. When they came back, all these strange things made a book that was translated into all languages. What a wonderful journey! French novelist Julius Verne is considered the father of the novel of science fiction, having predicted many technological achievements of modern science at a time when nothing he wrote."The journey to the center of the earth" was first published in 1864 and is one of his most famous works.
