Erotokritos is a classic work that was first printed in 1713 in Venice. Its creator is Vicente Kornaros from Sitia, Eastern Crete. It is estimated that he wrote it between the 15th and 18th centuries, with the predominant Venetian rule in Crete in the last years. Such a marriage, however, cannot be done, as she has to take for her husband the son of another king and not that of a servant. But the two young men are determined and, no matter how many years pass, whatever adventures they live in, they do not forget each other. Until in the end it is done in all fairy tales: they live well and we are better.
